Air Niugini hosts successful 2026 sales leaders conference

AIR Niugini hosted a two-day National Sales Leaders Conference at the Gateway Hotel in Port Moresby recently, bringing together regional sales managers, supervisors and key stakeholders within the airline.

Under the theme “Transformation - Stepping Up,” the conference served as a dynamic platform for reflection, idea-sharing and collaboration among staff within the airline’s sales domestic and international network.

Held from the 19th to 20th March, participants engaged in insightful discussions on market expansion, sales targets and customer engagement.

The conference highlighted ongoing advancements in technology, revenue management, cargo, loyalty programs, and e-commerce and fostered stronger relationships across teams to ensure Air Niugini’s continued growth and success.

Air Niugini Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Alan Milne officially opened the conference emphasizing on the importance of teamwork and shared vision in the airline’s transformation journey.

He highlighted the airline’s commitment to delivering exceptional service and expanding its regional and global reach through new aircraft and routes.

“Our sales team is the engine room of the airline,” Mr. Milne stated. “The operation must deliver a reliable, safe, and on-time schedule to fulfil our promise to customers. Together, we’re committed to connecting Papua New Guinea to the world and driving the airline’s success.”

Air Niugini’s Chief Commercial Officer, Mr David Glover, expressed pride in the dedication and resilience of the sales team.

“Despite challenges in 2025, you’ve consistently delivered in passenger sales for the second consecutive year. Your efforts are commendable, and I thank you for your commitment,” he said.

In addition, the Highlands Region was awarded the top Sales team in terms of meeting sales revenue targets in the past year, followed by Port Moresby, Momase, New Guinea and the Southern Region.

The staff actively participated, shared successes, voiced challenges, and collaborated on strategies to meet and exceed sales targets.
