SOLOMON Airlines has appointed TK Aviation Service as its official Passenger Sales Agent in China, strengthening its presence in one of the world’s fastest-growing outbound travel markets.
Based in Guangzhou, TK Aviation Service will support passenger sales and market development for Solomon Airlines across China, working closely with local partners including China Southern Airlines to promote the Solomon Islands as an emerging destination, and maximising opportunities via Guangzhou which provides a new, more efficient flight option between Europe and Honiara.
The appointment comes at a key time for Solomon Airlines, with the launch of a new weekly service between Honiara and Port Moresby starting 30 June 2026.
Operating Tuesdays, the service departs Honiara at 09:40, arriving in Port Moresby at 11:00, providing seamless same-day onward connections to both Guangzhou and Singapore, and departs Port Moresby to Honiara at 12:00, providing same-day travel from Guangzhou, Manila, Hong Kong and Singapore.
The new service also enables convenient regional connections from Port Moresby via Honiara to Port Vila, strengthening connectivity across the Pacific.
Matthew Findlay said the dual announcement marks an important milestone for the airline’s international growth strategy.
