AIR Niugini is among organisations participating in the 2026 PNG Business Investment Conference, being held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre in Brisbane, Australia.
The two-day conference brings together government leaders, business executives, investors, industry representatives and development partners to explore investment opportunities in Papua New Guinea, strengthen business partnerships and discuss ways to support sustainable economic growth.
Prime Minister, Hon. James Marape, officially opened the conference this morning, highlighting that Papua New Guinea is much more than a mining and resources destination. He pointed to the country’s significant potential across a wide range of sectors, including agriculture, construction, tourism, sports and recreation, business and commerce, among others.
The Prime Minister also highlighted the opportunities available to investors and the incentives the Government can provide to encourage investment and support businesses looking to establish or expand their operations in Papua New Guinea.
For Air Niugini, the conference provides an important platform to engage with business and investment leaders and showcase the national airline’s role in supporting connectivity, tourism, trade and investment across PNG and beyond.
As Papua New Guinea looks to broaden its economic base and unlock opportunities across diverse sectors, strong and reliable air connectivity will continue to play an important role in bringing people, businesses, investors and opportunities together.
