FIJI Airways has today reinstated direct flights between Nadi, Fiji (NAN) and Nouméa, New Caledonia (NOU), giving travellers a direct connection between the two Pacific destinations once again.
The Nadi–Nouméa service provides travellers with two direct flights each week, operating every Tuesday and Friday, adding more than 10,000 seats annually between Fiji and New Caledonia.
Fiji Airways Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Paul Scurrah, said the return of the service was an important milestone for Fiji Airways and the wider Pacific region.
"Nadi to Nouméa opens up an exciting new way for our two countries to connect, reinforcing Fiji's place as the Pacific's connecting hub. For travellers in New Caledonia, this route means more than a link to Fiji - it's convenient access to our wider network, with onward connections through Nadi across the Pacific, New Zealand, Asia, Australia and North America.
"This new service makes it easier for people to travel between Fiji and New Caledonia for holidays, business and to visit family, while giving New Caledonians seamless access well beyond our two countries. Nouméa and Suva are also home to some of the Pacific’s key intergovernmental and development organisations, creating an important corridor for professionals, delegates, consultants and partners travelling across the region.
Travellers can connect through Nadi to destinations including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Vancouver, Honolulu, Sydney, Auckland, Singapore, Hong Kong and other points across the Fiji Airways network, providing greater choice and convenience for travel beyond Fiji.
Starting 22 September 2026, Fiji Airways will operate twice-weekly services between Nadi (NAN) and Nouméa (NOU) on Tuesdays and Fridays, using Fiji Link’s ATR 72-600 aircraft.
